RE: you coment of geoff's blog. The postal service, and Death Cab are awesome. indie is SOOOOO overdone. Its like, well were just so different from everyone else that we need to come up with a new label so we can all be different together :D Not that I dislike Indie music, because I dont. I just dislike the cultural aspects of it. except the indie clothes. Theyre cute.

Mel, I am dissapointed in your lack of respect for the indie lifestyle. If you actually read my blog post, you would know that I admitted that Indie has its own trends and norms within itself. I fail to see what is wrong with Indie differentiating itself from other groups, because it is, in fact, a subculture of its own. Indie never claimed that it wasn't a label. It's only overdone to you because you're exposed to it by people you know who are into the scene itself. However, Indie is a culture unto itself, not just in music, but in film, art, business etc, and deserves respect as such, thank you very much.
